Last year, NASA engineer Mark Rober created a device known as the "Glitter Bomb" that went viral. Basically, the device should deter and punish portal thieves, steal the delivery packages from the terraces of unsuspecting homeowners. While it was a pretty impressive invention, there was some controversy when it turned out that the “victims” of the glitter bomb were indeed friends.
Other than that and the controversy we can't deny this was a very impressive creation and it looks like Rober is back with the Glitter Bomb Trap 2.0. Instead of just pouring glitter over the victims, Rober decided to be inspired by none other than the home-alone films by installing a fart spray that not only exploded glitter from the packaging, but also added a fart smell. The video even shows Macaulay Culkin, who inspired the glitter bomb.
In this particular video, Rober sent the packages to several US volunteers who left them on their verandas to lure possible thieves. The response from these thieves is pretty funny. In fact, one of the thieves knew about the previous glitter bomb, but apparently it didn't seem to stop him. If you have about 20 minutes, watch the Glitter Bomb Trap 2.0 in action in the video above.
