Mariah Carey hired the help of her twins "Roc and Roe" to create holiday joy in the new video for "All I Want For Christmas Is You".
After Mariah Carey the 49-year-old and released their eight-year-old twins 1994 their original music video for "All I Want For Christmas Is You"] The Moroccan Canon will be born in 17 years! Now the twins could finally be part of their mother's Christmas anthem as they received a new music video on December 19th. It was a great production, and understandably so since Mariah's hit just claimed first place on Billboard & # 39; s "Hot 100" chart on December 18th for the first time in 25 years. The music video set turned into an imaginary winter wonderland with a snow-covered village, lively polar bears, figure skating Santa Clauses and a "Polar Express". While all of this holiday applause subsided, Monroe and Moroccans made their surprise halfway through jumping out of a giant gift!
The twins led a crew of dancers with candy strips when they showed their movements – at some point the Moroccan even started break dancing. A particularly delightful detail was Monroe's Mrs. Santa Claus dress, which matched one of the many costumes that Mariah rocked throughout the video. There was another surprise cameo in case you missed it – Mariah's dog Cha Cha!
If you think this video has nothing to do with the 1994 original, that was the whole point! "We wanted to make a modern classic, and that was the theme of this song from the beginning … So it's the opposite of the original video," Mariah revealed in a live YouTube question and answer before the video premiered. As you remember, the original video looked like family camcorder footage from Christmas in the 90s. When the new video was creatively revised, Mariah was only thrilled that her children, whom she shares with ex-husband Nick Cannon 39, could be recorded. "Roc and Roe have their own little moment, and I'm very happy about that," said Mariah when asked questions and answers on YouTube.
This is not the first time the twins have made a cameo in their mother's music video! Roc and Roe were also featured in the video for "In The Mix" that was released on September 17th. This is the title song that Mariah recorded for the Black-ish spin-off series "Mixed-ish". The twins sing the whole song about "yay us"!
