Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are expecting a little girl.
The 35-year-old singer shared the happy news on Friday via Instagram.
"It's a girl," wrote the "Roar" star on the social network.
She also published a picture of the 43-year-old actor smiling with pink cream on his face. The sweet snapshot seemed to come from a gender reveal celebration.
In addition, the words "Girls Run the World" appeared in the post.
The announcement came about a month after Perry announced her pregnancy. The 13-time Grammy nominee unveiled the most important milestone in the music video for her song "Never Worn White". At the end of the short film, fans saw Perry cradling her baby bump.
"I'm excited. We're excited and happy and it's probably the longest secret I've ever had to keep," she said during an Instagram Live video last month. "And I like to tell you everything, but I knew that I would best tell it to you through a piece of music because that … I think that's how I talk to you. That's how we talk to each other."
It was certainly an exciting time for the couple. The curse of the Caribbean stars and the celebrity "Fireworks" got engaged last year. Bloom implemented the romantic proposal and asked the question on Valentine's Day. However, the dynamic duo made it clear that they were not storming down the aisle.
"[We’re] definitely trying to lay the good emotional foundation for the life of engagement, which is like a big deal, you know?" Perry said during an 2019 interview about KISS Breakfast With Tom & Daisy.
This is the couple's first child together. Bloom also has a son named Flynn whom he shares with his ex Miranda Kerr .
Congratulations to the happy couple!
