From December 30th, the music streaming service Deezer will offer six exclusive DJ sets by selected artists for electronic and dance & EDM add channels. In addition, the French company pays its artists a fair share of royalties to all artists represented in the mixes – something many artists struggle with on other music streaming platforms.
Deezer's Dance and Electronic Editor and one of the musical outsiders behind DJ mixes, Robin Wilms, said that "making official mixes for streaming ushers in a new era in dance music." For them they wanted to do something that was for both the artists and the fans.
The first DJs that Deezer selected for this new streaming company are Michael Mayer fashion selector Mark Knight Will Saul Sultan + Shepard and Makoto . Each of these DJ sets also offers a variety of subgenres to choose from.
For techno fans, the set by Michael Mayer contains a mix of tracks from the classics of Kompakt . And for even more techno and electronica, fashion selector cover a larger selection of "Boundary Breaking" music from their SSPB label.
Mark Knight will delight house fans with his DJ set full of dance floor ready tracks from Toolroom Records . And if we delve deeper into our home trip, Will Saul's set will deliver even more house records, but from From Music .
From Armada Music Sultan + Shepard will give us an insight into some of their favorite deep and progressive house tracks in their exclusive mix. Makoto's drum & # 39; n & # 39; bass set will also include some of his favorites and songs from Hospital Records .
Deezer plans to add more exclusive DJ mixes to its platform in February 2020, including possibly more sets of the above-mentioned record labels and a mix of the electronics and techno labels WARP Records .
