As you probably know, Snoop Dogg attacked Gayle King and withheld nothing after she raised Kobe Bryant's rape case despite his tragic death on January 26th. This interview actually annoyed many people, but the woman insisted that her words be taken out of context.
In both cases, the rapper took some time to think about his harsh words, and after realizing that "two mistakes do no right," he apologized.
Gayle has now responded to the apology and it looks like they are all good!
Snoop felt so bad about the upset video he posted and insulted the famous interviewer that he even offered to sit down and talk privately.
“Two mistakes do not make a right. If you are wrong, you need to fix the problem. With that said, Gayle King, I publicly tore you down by derogatingly based on emotion. I am angry with questions you have asked. [I] overreacted. Should have dealt with it differently. I was brought up much better. Therefore I would like to apologize publicly to you for the language I have used and to call you out of your name and simply be disrespectful, "Snoop Dogg apologized.
He went on to say that he never intended his outbreak to be like this.
Instead, he only tried to "defend a friend who was not here to defend himself".
He also mentioned that it was a great way for him to teach those who turn to him that it is okay to apologize if you make a mistake and fix it.
After this post, Gayle talked to ET and explained, "I accept the apology and understand the raw emotions caused by this tragic loss. I am very sorry that questions I asked contributed to this pain. That was never my intention. As a journalist, it is sometimes difficult to reconcile my work with the emotions and feelings in difficult times. I don't always understand it perfectly, but I constantly strive to do it with compassion and integrity. "
